In a unique journey blending history and fun, Al-Salam Children’s Library, affiliated with the Misr Society for Culture and Community Development, organized an educational and cultural trip to Salah El-Din Citadel under the slogan “Beautiful, My Country”.
The trip witnessed strong participation from children and their parents, who accompanied their kids to ensure they benefited from hands-on learning experiences that foster personality development and a sense of national belonging.
Children enjoyed exploring the citadel’s halls, museums, and historic mosques while listening to simplified historical explanations provided by the library team, turning historical facts into engaging stories that left lasting impressions.
The trip was not only educational but also enjoyable, as participants relished the pleasant weather and green spaces surrounding the historic site, creating a well-rounded recreational and cultural experience.
Parents praised the library for the high level of organization and care, emphasizing that such activities open new horizons for their children and help them appreciate Egypt’s rich heritage.
In this context, Ms. Ifraj El-Tahamy, Director of Al-Salam Children’s Library, affirmed that cultural trips are a top priority as part of the library’s educational mission, stating: "We believe that seeing history firsthand is the most effective way to connect children with their identity. We will continue organizing these events that combine fun and knowledge to build an aware and patriotic generation."
