The 6th of October Public Library in Agouza, affiliated with the Misr Society for Culture and Community Development, organized an outstanding awareness workshop on waste recycling. The event involved students from Talaat Harb Primary School, under the supervision of the Agouza Educational Administration, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency.
The workshop aimed to raise students’ environmental awareness, highlighting the importance of recycling in conserving natural resources and reducing pollution. It also encouraged them to transform waste into eco-friendly, reusable products.
Students actively participated in hands-on activities, creating innovative art pieces such as Christmas decorations and flower-shaped hangings using old paper scraps, practically demonstrating their creativity and ability to repurpose materials in a meaningful and artistic way.
This initiative reflects the library’s ongoing commitment to environmental education and supporting awareness activities for school students and the local community.
Ms. Amal Ahmed, Director of the 6th of October Public Library in Agouza, emphasized: "School visits are among the most important educational and cultural activities we organize regularly. They play a vital role in raising students’ awareness, fostering positive behaviors, and building well-informed, culturally grounded personalities."
